The dad needs a good pair of trainers but I want to get him ones specially fitted to his feet, i.e needs to be weighed, foot measurements etc - any sports shops etc that do this around Dublin City?.
New shop on Georges St. Think its called Foot solutions or something like that. Anyway they advertise as foot specialists. Its near the Dunnes Home shop.
I have been to Amphibian King in Bray and found them very good.
They asked me to run on a 10 metre runway in shop and video is taken of your foot impacting ground. They suggest 3 sets of runners based on that ..... you then try each pair and look at video - they recommended the mid-priced of the three runners in my case.
Suggest that you bring an old pair of runners with you if you have them so they can see where they are wearing out. Tends to be busy on weekends so suggest you book an appointment if Sat or Sun.
