RTE Radio 1's 'listen back' facility

Why do the RTE Radio 1 'listen back' programmes cut off midway through the programme? It is very annoying to listen to a programme and midway through the same sentence is replayed over and over, signalling the end.

Surely if this is a glitch, it can be easily fixed by RTE's IT people?

Does anyone have any solution to this (not podcasts please!).

I agree with you.

It is the most maddening thing.

I don't know why we can have a full programme of "O Brien On Song ", or " The Late Session ", and only half of Marian or Pat Kenny.

Our local radio station repeats the day's programmes in their entirety. Have been meaning to e-mail RTE about it, for all the good it might do.

RTE can do what they like, nobody has to perform there. Jobs for life.

If the playback situation was as bad in a commercial radio station, someone's head would roll. Not in the Donnybrook Hilton though.

Just an update: I emailed the transmissions dept and received a reply back telling me to email onlinetechs@rte.ie which I proceeded to do.
(ahem just in case the address is handy for anyone else!)

Mind you I have yet to receive a reply :(

Are you me? ;)
