Ive been trying to sort out my finances as im recently retired (though not officially retired, i have no plans to go back to working).

So ive been getting prices from financial advisors (so that i can get help cleaning up my finances) and they are anything from €800 to €4000 and im still not clear on which service I need.

Can anyone here give me an idea of a rough price I should expect to pay a financial advisor to do the following with me.

Go though myself and my wifes finances, pensions, savings, spending.
Plan for retirement eg what to do now with pension funds.
How to take the best advantage of any tax breaks etc?

The problem is, im not sure exactly what i need tbh. So I dont want to go in and end up paying for advice that isnt tailored to us.
Also i dont really want to get caught paying huge commission for years to come.
I havent a clue :)

Can anyone offer any advice as to what I should look for and ballpark what this will cost me up front and ongoing?

Thanks guys
