well, if you can get it done in a weekend, most hire places allow you to hire from the friday afternon of bank holiday weekend to the following Tuesday morning for special weekend rate. that might be your best bet, but you would need to book it in advance.
 
Must be the time of year - I was just wondering the same thing! On a related matter, can any one recommend a REALLY basic book/website for the beginner gardener - and I mean basic - have just taken posession of 60foot of weeds and scrubland and want to start bringing it under control, on a tiny budget! Any suggestions would be wonderful, please.
 
Hire one from a place in tallaght cost around 35e for 4 hours , full day is around 55e, the place is in Domonics shooping centre near old bawn, they deliver it for 12 e and collect it,
