ROS - realtime updates to medical expenses - how does it work?

Using the ROS I can now upload Med2 and other medical expenses in real time. This will in turn update my tax credits . What I'm wondering is are these credits then spread throughout the remainder of the year and paid weekly through payroll. It's the first time I've done it this way as I've always just waited till the new year and submitted them annually

If the new tax credit certificate/RPN issues on a cumulative basis, then the relief is spread out over the 12 months of the year. So your employer will recalculate your tax paid from the start of the year as if you had the credit from the start of the year. This is the same for any tax credit/relief added to an active tax year.
