Room Divider/Sliding Doors

We are just about to start building a house and we intend to break up our Kitchen and Living room area with a 'Room Divider'. Basically, it will be four panels - the middle two panels will each be a sliding door that will slide into the outer panel iykwim.
I think they will be opaque glass so as to let the light through but to retain some element of cosiness/privacy in both the kitchen and/or living room in the evening when 'the kitchen is closed'.
Has anyone any experience of these? I have looked through Google and found lots of companies in the UK providing them but none in Ireland - does anyone know of any?

If you are at building stage it would be easier (cheaper) to use Henderson type sliding rails with the doors of your choice. The two doors would then recess in the wall or they supply folding fittings for each site.

The sort of door you are talking about can run into the thousands.

You could buy four thin panels/doors and fix them either side and then get two panels/doors (and using the Henderson fittings) slide the door between them.
