Rome

Hello
I am travelling to Rome with my daughter, can anyone recommend the best area, and also, is there any area that is unsafe, that I should definitely not book my hotel in.

Any hotel recommendations much appreciated.

Hi Kath,

Here are some previous threads about hotels in Rome that hopefully will help. In terms of safety, I don't think there are any centrally located hotels in undesirable areas.

We stayed in a hotel near Termini train & bus station. Very handy especially if you are travelling independently. Termini is where the airport shuttle train comes in. Niece stayed in B&B overlooking Spanish Steps which she found delightful. Good metro service. Never felt threatened and we walked most of the city sometimes late at night. Lovely city. I am currently checking Ryanair hotels and Alpharooms, Otels.com etc.
