Romantic weekend in Ireland

Hi folks,

Want to take other half away for a weekend somewhere in Ireland in July. No preference as to where but don't want to end up in some faceless, modern hotel or fork out 200 per night for castle either. Can anyone recommend a site or indeed a B&B or guesthouse with lots of character, some good walking nearby & good food?

Please help - or else we will end up in a Quality Hotel!

Superb food. Great locations nearby.

The age profile can be a bit on the high side if you like interacting with the other guests (and you are young). Can be pricy too but if it's an occasion...

the midleton park hotel in midleton is gorgeous, lovely outdoor hot tub and health spa. really nice, restaurant is hotel is nice also.

Try Glasha Farmhouse near the Nire Valley. You'll be spoiled rotten, it's near to Clonmel, and is next door to the Nire Valley.
