ROMANTIC BREAK at EASTER

Any ideas on where to go for a romantic break easter weekend for a first wedding anniversary in the east of the country, not too far from the airport.

It depends what you are interested in - for example if you just want a nice hotel and maybe spa treatments there are loads of hotels. If you like walking or hiking then Wicklow would be lovely and again there are good hotels to choose from. And of course you could have a break in Dublin city, if you're not from there, and enjoy the restaurants, museums, shopping.

Why not try the Westbury Hotel just off Grafton Street in Dublin. You can get the Aircoach http://www.aircoach.ie/ to the bottom of Grafton Street and it's a walk of about 200 yds to your hotel. On the way back to the airport you get the Aircoach back from nearby Dawson Street outside the "Pink" shirt shop.

There are lots of hotels to choose from, some offering really great value.

Bellinter House in Navan is lovely and Meath has some interesting historic sites to visit....if you're into that sort of thing.
I second the suggestion of Wicklow. Ballyknocken house is lovely - not luxury but really romantic and within a short drive to some gorgeous parts of the country for walking.

If you choose Dublin city centre Bentleys along the Green looks lovely and St Stpehens Green and the near by Iveagh Gardens are a beautiful setting for some romanitc walks, lunch etc.

Have a look at Tankardstown House near Slane. I think they have some Easter Specials on also.
