ringing a person in Australia on their mobile

I am ringing a mobile number that I got to contact someone in Australia it begins with 0450 do I drop the first 0 and put in country code which I think is 0061 should that work I have tried to text this number also but I am not sue if it is working. Any ideas ? Have I got the correct country code

Hi holidayqueen, when I call an Australian mobile I ring 0061 then drop the first 0, so 0061450..... should work for you.

thanks for that I can make calls on a landline to an aus mobile for 12 cent a minute using [broken link removed] would skype be any cheaper that this? I do not have a headset for skype and I am wondering if these calls will work out just as cheap and I will find it easier than the head set.​
