The below appears on land registry maps for part of my land,

Full right and liberty for xxxxxthe registered owner of folio xxxxx at all times and for all purposes to pass and repass over the property herein by the way shown coloured yellow on the plan xxxx thereof on the registry map (O.S xxxx)

Its basically a right of way through my land for Mr. xxxxx, the owner of adjoining land.
Question is- Mr xxxx died a few years ago, does the right of way still exist? is it passed on to the next owner. Something similar appears on the registry maps for Mr. xxxx land but includes right of way for "Mr yyyy (me) and his heirs"

..........does the right of way still exist? yes

is it passed on to the next owner.? yes

is it passed on to the next owner.? yes

Is this the case generally with Private rights of way which appears to be the case in this instance ? I thought it would depend on what was stipulated in the agreement between the two parties concerned.

AFAIK usually refers to a right of way in order to access services or possibly in this case to access some land in order to access yet another piece of land so will be transferred from one owner to the next owner (heirs).
