Revolut requested iban, account and sort code details in chat.

I am trying to accept my first revolut transfer. Account is verified by passport. "Due to Brexit we have migrated our EEA customers to the Lithuanian entity. Due to the ongoing account migration" they are unable to verify my account at the moment. They suggest closing and opening a new account. And request my details in a bank statement pdf. Is this standard procedure/safe? Thanks for your help. Mel.

Sorry I can't give you any advice on Revolut as I don't use it but the above sounds like a scam so would advise treading very, very carefully. Perhaps others here may have encountered the same scenario and will be able to advise you in due course.
