Will they give 1% cashback on an initial balance transfer, I wonder?
 
See below details of the cashback. Its not great. Only for 3 months. Also 30 euro stamp duty. They could access (once approved by me) my tsb bank account to determine credit limit. Given the cash back isn't hectic and with revolut customer service I may get hit with double stamp duty even if I close my tsb ice credit card and send the letter confirming paid stamp duty. The tsb ice isn't a bad card so I will probably keep and cancel this revolut application.


To clarify it with you, our cashback offer regarding credit cards is as such:

-> 1% cashback on Purchases for 1st 3 months

* Max €30 in first three months gathered in total

-> 0.1% cashback on all Purchases after 3 months

* No max - for however long you have the card. (You can also earn the cashback from stays and metal benefits as normal)
 
Anybody know if they are offering the free abroad transaction like they do with the regular card? Tried their customer service agents but as per usual, they just sent me the wrong information.

Are there any credit cards that offer no exchange fee while abroad?
 
I'm wondering the same. Their Customer Service is appalling. Cut and paste answers to questions that weren't asked. It is also shocking that a simple table of fees is not available on their website.

Ask to talk with an agent. They usually respond quickly. You will probably have to repeat your question. I have had a good few issues and in each case the agent dealt efficiency with them once they got a handle on the issue.
 
Spent about an hour today being bounced from agent to agent.

Finally someone was able to provide an answer. The credit card has the same benefits as your account plan. so if you are a standard user you will can use your card outside the Euro zone up to €1000 per month, 1% fee on weekends.

So if you are a premium user there is no limit to fee free non euro zone transactions, but 1% fee at weekends still count.

Asked the agent to direct me to a fee page/schedule for the CC, they don't have one.
 
Completed the application this morning. I had to upload a document with my PPSN on it and acknowledge having read two Credit Card Agreement documents. Process was finished seconds later. The documents include the following:

Fees, charges and interestPurchases: 13.34%
(0% introductory rate for the first 3 months)
Cash Withdrawals - 15.08%
Credit Transfers - 15.08%
Balance Transfers: 0% introductory rate for first 3 months
Interest Free Period may apply to Purchases.
Government Stamp Duty: €30
Cash withdrawal fee: 2% of Cash Withdrawal or €5 (whichever is greater)
Late Payment Fee: €10 (unless your Minimum Repayment is less than €10, in which case the late payment fee will equal the amount of the Minimum Repayment). A late payment fee applies each time you miss a Minimum Repayment.
Annual Percentage Rate of Charge (APR)
This is the total cost expressed as an annual percentage of the total amount of credit. The APR is there to help you compare different offers.		17.99%
Other transaction types may result in higher APR.
Representative example: Assuming a single purchase of €1,500 repaid in equal instalments over a 12 month period, at an interest rate of 13.34% (representative 17.99% APR variable), the total amount repayable (including Government Stamp Duty charge of €30) would be €1,640.58. Interest charged would be €110.58.
CashbackIntroductory offer: 1% cashback on the first €3,000 of Purchases completed within the first 3 months from the date of opening your Credit Card Account.
Once the introductory offer expires (or you have reached the €3,000 Purchases cap), you will receive 0.1% cashback on each completed Purchase (unlimited).

Physical card will be posted out.
 
I just did a test purchase for a small amount with Amazon.

I can confirm that there is no fee for non-euro transactions (subject to the limits that liger mentioned above) and the exchange rate used was the the same as their existing debit card.

I'm happy enough so. Coming from an UB Black credit card that didn't have a fee for non-euro transactions and given that there is no credit card on the Irish market that offers this benefit, Revolut fills the gap for me.
 
It's a great service. Unfortunately I won't be getting one as I currently have an avantmoney credit card that gives 12 euro reward per month which I am keeping.
I do not want to pay another 30 euro stamp duty, so no Revolut credit card.

Did they give you the credit limit you requested or just attach what they felt suited your lending criteria?
 
I didn't ask for a credit limit and they offered €8K per month, which is a ridiculous amount.
