Revenue Receipts Tracker

I’ve mislaid a couple of GP receipts. I scanned them and submitted them as part of a claim for everyday expenses from Laya but can’t find the original or the scanned copies. Could I upload the annual tax statement from Laya instead? It lists each receipt, what is was for, how much was claimed etc?

You don't need at add receipts for the 2024 return anyway. You're expected to keep them, in the unlikely event you're selected for review you can use that statement and if its not accepted then your GP should be able to reissue.

Most GPs practices will issue duplicate receipts on request if necessary.

Thanks - I was audited for 2021 - 2023 last year - it was a nightmare. Took me about 6 weeks to scan everything and send it to them!

Ah can imagine. I do tend to save the receipts electronically as I claim from health insurance and use a download of claims to calculate the Revenue credits due. Also reminds me to do all my utility for the remote working allowance!

They might charge you for this, just be aware, it might be more than the 20% refund!

I have been audited 2 times in the last 5 years ( I did a Last-minute AVC for the previous year, so I think this triggered it). The first time it happened, the same issue was missing receipts, but GP reissued them to me for no charge. But also Laya sent me copys of the receipts I uploaded to them so also try Laya for copys of what you sent them. After this, I started uploading to the revenue website (receipt tracker)each of my receipts as I was claiming through Laya, which only took an extra minute to do. While they uploaded my working form, I had to submit my receipts as well. On the last audit, they did not ask for copies as they were already there.

I've never been charged in the past but haven't had to request such info in recent years and different practices may have different policies.
