Revenue Re Issue of Cheques

I am in the process of finalising the estate of our father as executor. In going through documentation I have found two refund cheques from revenue which total a fair amount, together with receipts from revenue for both cheques.However the cheques are a number of years old, oldest dates back to 2004. Will reveue reissue cheques to the estate or are they too old.

Have you tried ringing them to ask? Seems the most obvious way to get a definitive answer.
