Apologies if this has been covered before (This is my first time posting).
I have a portfolio of US stocks on my BUX trading app. I have filled in the relevant W8BEN form (in 2021) to allow for reduction in DWT form 30% to 15 % for Irish residents under the Double Taxation Agreement. I have been trading for four years. For year 2023, Revenue.ie have not allowed the full 15% DWT which has been subtracted from my dividend payments by BUX prior to issuing dividends. I have enquired multiple times via the MyRevenue portal. They have allowed a credit of 8.53%. I have enquired as to why they are not honoring the full 15% and cannot understand this reply from Revenue..."Please note that the net credit effect implemented on your dividends is pre calculated by Revenue system's. The system has determined your net credit effect to be 8.53% on your dividend income. Please note this information cannot be altered." I am a PAYE worker and am in full time employment. Has anyone experienced this reduced US DWT credit when dealing with Revenue? I could not find any information online.
