Last Monday I sent off some medical expenses receipts, plus the Med 1/2 forms, for treatment I had done in 2005.
On Friday morning a cheque dropped through my door for the refund of tax!
Just a quick note to say that I'm very impressed... that's customer service for you!
 
Lucky you - I sent mine off during the 2nd week of April, and I phoned them this morning, only to get a snotty reply telling me they were only up to the 18th March today (20th June). Still waiting . . .
 
Mell61 did you check the name on the cheque are you sure it is yours :) That was very quick. i taught there is usually a six week delay
 
Grrr. I sent mine off ages ago and no reply.Anyone know the number needed to enquire about refund.
 
For those still waiting, a second claim for medical expenses tax relief (employer pays, so I pay BIK), was processed a couple of days later, and another nice cheque (with my name emblazened on it - i checked) is in the bank!
Probably different queues in different areas, but I'd recommend moving to an area that is dealt with by the Dundalk office!
Again, kudos to Revenue in my area.
