Hi
Could anyone help me, I have been out of work for approx 7 months and I have been approved a medical card during this time. However I have now been offered a job.
Does anyone know is there an income threshold which I need to stay below in order to retain my medical card.
I know that if I was unemployed for 12 months I could retain the medical card for 3yrs...
Any advice?

Medical card

Even if you lose your medical card you should be exempt from Income Levy and Health Levy for this year, once you held a medical card for any part of year AFAIK! Double check this, but hopefully still the case and you will save some money there.... Good luck.

If you lose the medical card, you may be entitled to the GP visit card, which has higher income guidelines (approx 25% higher than those for a medical card).
