Hi I would like some input on this before taking it further.
Bot some tiles recently for an en suite. Gave the salesperson in the shop the mesurements & he told me what was needed. At the time of the sale he told us there was no problem refunding any returned full boxes. Turned out his calculations were way out & there were 7 boxes over. I went down Friday & was told under no circumstances would they be refunded they were in a sale. I asked to see the person who sold them to me & was told he is on holidays. The person dealing with me look at the reciept & argued there was no way you could have that many over & anyway they would not be taking them back. I asked for the manager to contact me, still waiting on that call.
I spoke to consumer affairs today & they rekon because they do the calculations this would be classed as a service & therefore it would come under the sale of good & services act. In other words thier service was at fault.
Any suggestions on how best to procede??
