returning a fish tank to aldi

Hi, i recently bought my daughter a starter cold water fish tank from aldi, i have kept numerous fish tanks in the past including tropical and brackish so know what i'm doing when it comes to set ups and biological cycles.

anyway, this is a bog standard cold water tank and i have now put in my second set of fish which have all died within a few hours of going into the tank. in my opinion the filter supplied with the tank is not fit for the purpose intended as all water parameters are fine.

what i'm questioning is, do you think i'd be able to return it (with or without the recepit as i'm still hunting for it!!:eek:) as its either faulty and or not fit for its intended purpose.

thanks in advance for any advice given.

Take the dead fish withyou and threaten to hide them in the store if you aren't reimbursed! ;)

Amandakd,
You will have no hastle from Aldi, they are very consumer friendly. They will refund or replace without question or receipt. Good luck Browtal

thanks browtal..... i'm hoping this is the case as i cannot find the receipt to save my life :(

Did you pay with a card or cash, Either way anytime we returned a product more often than not because of a change of mind they were great, And that includes without a reciept.

i eventually found the receipt and they returned the tank with no issues.:)
