Hello,
I am lost on this one, searched the An Post website for info but didnt find anything.
Basically a family member purchased an item online at Christmas. In April the product was showing faults, this was no problem as the company they bought it from just asked for it to be returned and they would send it on to the manufacturer for repair.
They posted off the item at the end of April, and phoned today for an update, only to be told it was never received. My relative had got a receipt from An Post but unfortunately she never understood that she would need to get it tracked also.
The annoying thing is the item was saved up for over a year as a present for their grandchild, and it worth around 400Euro which is an awful lot to them. I feel so sorry for them.
Can anyone be held accountable for the loss? Maybe the company did receive it back? Maybe An Post lost it?
Any advice, I would be extremely grateful and I know they would too.
Thanks
G
