Hi all,
Hopefully this will make sense!
I work for a multi-national company. Last year I was working for this company in Ireland & paying tax in Ireland. This year though I am working for the same company in Poland.
A few points to note:
a) In January 06 I worked for the Irish part of company and they paid my salary in Ireland, paid tax in Ireland.
b) Since Febuary I get paid in Zloty by the Polish part of company.
c) I pay all the taxes in Poland (and there is a lot)
d) The Irish part of company pay me an allowance of Eur400/month for rent while I am over here working which I pay tax in Ireland, this 'allowance' comes in a different pay slip.
e) While I am out in Poland I will be home, to Ireland, for a max of 2 weeks
Basically, I wondering if it is possible to not pay tax on the money I am receiving for rent e.g. do I qualify as a non-resident?? If yes how do I go about applying for this?
Thanks,
W M
