Hi all,

I am currently working on IT with my own private limited company for a concrete customer. At the same time I have been working on my spare time creating a new business idea.

To materialize this idea I was thinking on registering a .ie domain name. I have read the IEDR requirements for registering .ie domains and they seem quite tougher than for other type of domain which I think is good protection for companies.

My idea is to register this domain name (e.g. "secondhand.ie") and keep trading with my company's name (e.g. "acme ltd") at least until I could see that the business is promising and then switch the name of the company. So question is, how would people normally proceed in this situation? Which type of information will registrars really ask you for to register such domain name?

Thanks!

Grab a RBN / registered business name from www.cro.ie (will cost about 30 euro) - then use that to register the domain you want at a site like www.register365.ie
