Replacing Log Book / Cert

Hi My partner is collecting his new car this evening, and he is trading in his old one.. We cannot find the log book.. the cert? how can I get another one.. Will they still take the trade in.. thanks

You will have to apply to your local motor tax office

There’s a form you can get from the Vehicles Registration Office that you take to a main dealer to stamp and then you take it to a Commissioner of oaths or Solicitor to stamp.

If you can send me your email address I can email you the form. Otherwise you can ask the Vehicle Registration Office telling them you lost the Ownership Certificate – They’ll send it out to you by email.

It is Form RF 134 thats required. It may be O.K to sign the form in a Garda Station.
