Replacing kitchen cupboards

Hi,

We would like to replace the doors of our kitchen cupboards and would appreciate some advice. The kitchen is nearly 30 years old but is still in very good condition so we don't wish to replace it all.

Problem is the dimensions of our existing cupboards are larger than the off the shelf cupboard doors we have seen in Noyex and The Panelling Centre.

Can anyone suggest somewhere we might try and the costs involved?

That link by Sueellen has some good info.
Basically replacing all the doors is more difficult than it sounds as there will always be visible parts of the kitchen that aren't doors and so won't be replaced.
Painting the existing kitchen would probably produce better results more cheaply (unless you want to change the style of the doors).
If changing the doors and you want ten or more doors then I'd recommend a custom furniture maker if the sizes aren't available from Noyeks etc, price should be competitive if there's a few doors to be made... see www.furniture.ie for help finding custom furniture makers in your area. Kitchen doors are about €35 to €60 plus VAT.
