I have an American style Samsung fridge freezer with inbuilt water filter (mains connected). The indicator is showing that I need a new filter. It turns out that a Samsung replacement filter costs 50 quid! Anyone discovered a cheaper generic route to getting replacement water filters? Thanks
Have some of those "britta" water filter jugs. Filter is good for about a month, and costs around 5 euro. How long does the filter last - if it is a year or longer then I'd say 50 quid is not too bad.
You can buy a generic replacement on the internet fir app €25/30. I have a Samsung fridge and buy them regularly. Different sites supply them & I can't recall where I bought the last one but it was a UK site. Indicator turns orange first & then red. It's not a major urgency to get a replacement & you can turn the indicator back to green while your waiting. I do this because it annoys me!! Make sure the replacement filter is suitable for your model.
