Replace or repair a gas boiler

I am hoping I will get some advice to help me decide.

My house and gas boiler is almost 3 years old and both the gas boiler and plumbing system have been nothing but trouble since day one. I have reported all the faults to the builder and they have been fixing it up to recently and have now washed their hands of it. I am now in a worse situation than I was initially given the amount of 'fixing' that has been done.

The problem is a constant loss of pressure over 2-3 days (we have a visable leak now but have been loosing pressure since the beginning), air locks, we now have parts which need to be replaced in the boiler, valves to be replaced on the hot water tank and maybe more will be found.

The current gas boiler is a very cheap and I am guessing inefficient appliance - I have an option to replace the parts or to replace the boiler all at my own expense! What would be the best longterm solution to ensure reliability & efficiency?
