Im an architect ...correction (was) until i was let go in January.
I bought my house in Sligo in 2004 (4 bed semi). Since then , I had been renting out 2 rooms under rent a room scheme.
Theres no work in sligo at the moment.
I recently got a job working in a shop in galway, If I let 3 rooms out in my house in Sligo , and rent an apartment in Galway, will this affect my entitlement to claim mortgage interest relief, or earn tax free rent from the house in Sligo.
The house in sligo will always be my primary residence even though i wont actually be living there mon-fri. I'll be home at the weekends and be staying in the 4th bedroom. all my post will be going there
I gave the landlord (for galway apartment ) my RSI number today!!
I feel im safe but not confident
