Renting- Friendship, Best for Me Dilemma

hi all, i'm a first time poster looking for a bit of advice. I'm currently renting with a good friend in rathmines. It's €1,300 between us a month- i've been renting since Oct 09. I'm originally from Dublin so i'm beginning to realise that it's a bit of a waste of cash seeing as I have the option of going home frequently back to the family home.The problem is now that I have an agreement with my pal and a lease for 11months so i'm not sure what should be done to break free. what do ye think?

If you have a lease, then you have a commitment to pay the rent for the remainder of the lease, unless you can find a replacement.
