Rental tax credit

Due to works being completed on my PPR I had to rent a property starting 1/12/23. My question is can I claim rental tax credit for this year given I am only renting 1 month allbeit I have paid a month up front and deposit. Thanks

You can claim 20% of the rent paid up to €500 (€2500 rent) as an individual or up to €1000 (€5000 rent) as a couple.

The month in advance and deposit are irrelevant. It is 20% of 1 months rent that you can claim
