hello,
Just wondering as a PAYE worker is there an amount of extra income you have to earn (ie from renting a second property) before you have to pay tax?
Thanks

No. You can deduct most of your rental expenses from the gross rent received. Every thing above that is liable for tax at whatever rate you are paying at the moment. Read here. There are also loads of examples in this forum alone to get all the answers you will need to make a return.

Thanks very much.. Just remember hearing you could earn 3174 euro on extra income without paying tax, wonder what that figure was in relation to? Or I could be hearing things either ..
