Homes owned by private homeowners, non-corporate landlords and Approved Housing Bodies are eligible for the scheme.
The new National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme offers increased grant levels of up to 50% of the cost of a typical B2 home energy upgrade with a heat pump (up from the current level of 30-35%).
Full details have not been published yet, keep an eye on this page for details and the announcements of the One Stop Shops.Hi Clubman,
I looked at this and the grants look very small compared to the headlines, am I missing something?
I would like to do internal insulation, triple glazed windows and a heat pump system if possible!
Regards,
True prices will likely rise, excluding materials prices which are are on the increase anyway, a shortage of qualified tradespeople will limit supply below likely demand levels. That said though, unless the price doubles, the consumer will still benefit.Throwing subsidies at a problem tends to increase the price - most of the benefit goes to the suppliers and not to the purchasers.
