Hi,
i wonder if anyone can help, i viewed a house two weeks ago and agreed with the estate agent that i would rent the property starting from the first of august. he said that i paid a holding deposit of €500 the house would be taken off the market and kept for us. he checked with the landlord and the landlord accepted my offer. today i got a phone call from the estate agent saying that the landlord has accepted a highter offer from someone else and that i no longer have the house. i have given notice in my current place etc etc
do i have any legal recourse other than just getting my deposit back. i assume that the reason i paid the deposit was to stop this from happening in the first place. any advice would be most welcome
