I'm afraid you are getting the wrong end of the stick in regards to what is known as adverse possession.could it possibly be the 12 year rule where walking across a person's property for 12 years could entitle a tenant to own the house
Its down to preference. I signed a lease with a tenant in 2007 and she's still there. I never signed or had her sign another lease. It's a case of know your customer and different strokes for different folk.Hi nuttell forgot to mention that I've been 12 years in this accommodation and house owner offered me 2 years and then he would be finishing the contract. I always had to sign a contract before so that's why I was wondering why I didn't have to sign this time. I wonder could it possibly be the 12 year rule where walking across a person's property for 12 years could entitle a tenant to own the house ..the contracts I signed were for every 4 years ... cheers tom.
Thanks for reply. I'll just have to trust the house owner..
