Rent supplement- Am i entitled?

Hi there,

I was wondering about rent supplement. I am currently nearly 20 weeks pregnant and living at home with my parents. I live in a 3 bedroom house and already share a bedroom. The other rooms are occupied by my parents in one and my sister and her baby in another. So when the baby comes along my house will be very over-crowded.

I currently work 25hours a week but will obviously have to take maternity leave. My partner is currently out of work on sick leave due to an operation. Taking my situation into account would I be entitled to any Rent Supplement?

You have to be renting for 6 months prior to the application of Rent Supplement or be considered eligible for social housing after an assesment from the council.
