Rent Relief

Hi,
I have applied for Rent relief for 2004, still didn't got a reply from Revenue.
I heard that from this year rent relief will be paid as tax credit instead of issuing a cheque.
Anyone can confirm this?

I would have assumed that a cheque was only issued for backdated claims and where a claim is made in advance a tax credit adjustment is made. Is [broken link removed] any use?

I have applied for rent relief for 2004 ( I submitted this only in Jan2005) but still waiting for the chque from the revenue.
Recently I heard that they won't issue cheque from this year (for the rent relief cliam of 04) instead it will be added as Rent relief in tax credit. I am NOT sure this correct or NOT?
Anyone got a cheque for rent relief claim for 2004.
