Rent Relief

Just a quick question!
I'm living with one other girl in an apartment, both paying 600 a month. However, I'm just paying my 600 to her, and she paying the 1200 to the landlord as it's her name on the lease. Am I entitled to claim rent relief on this?

I would think so - i.e. you can claim relief on your €600 and she can claim relief on her €600 (up to the usual limits). Obviously she cannot claim relief on €1,200 if you are also claiming relief on €600 of that.
