Rent receivers

Hi,
I have an issue with PTSB in relation to arrears dating back to 2014 which I understand I have already paid. I have lodged a complaint with them over this. I'm currently paying my mortgage in full. They have threatened to appoint a rent receiver. Can they still appoint rent receivers?
 
Was this always a buy to let property? If it was originally a family home then the mortgage agreement may not have provision for a rent receiver in it. Suggest reviewing the original paperwork that came with your mortgage. For PTSB to be able to appoint a receiver it must say so in the paperwork.
 
Thanks for your reply, It is for buy to let property. Should I ask my solicitor to check original paperwork or ask PTSB to send me a copy indicating where it allows for the appointment of rent receivers?
