Rent out house for 5 years

Hi,

am going abroad for 5 years and was thinking of renting out my house during that period.

would anyone have any ideas on how to go about this or pitfalls i should be aware of?

How many years have you owned the property? Were you a First Time Buyer when you purchased it?

As a FTB, my 5 years for tax purposes are up Nov 08 - so i intend heading off into the sunset...
