Rent allownace

hey there

I am thinking of moving out of home and my sister would be moving out aswell. There is a possibility my boyfriend may come and live with us at a later stage.
My sister gets disability allowance so she couldn't afford to move out without rent allowance.

If i am to be living with her, does that make it harder for her to receive it?
& Would she get enough to cover most of her rent?

we'd be looking at at a two bed place in cork.i am unemployed myself but have a few interviews lined up so more than likely will be full time employed when we move out. thanks

You should check out entitlements, rent limits, etc with the local Community Welfare Officer.

At the moment, there's a minimum contribution of €13 per week which your sister would have to pay towards rent from her DA.

The total rent for the premises will be divided into 2 (or 3 if your boyfriend moves in) and any Rent Supplement for your sister would be based on that share.
