rent allowance

My mother in law was born and is moving back to ireland soon and was wondering what her entitlements are. She lived and worked in the uk for the last 30 years. She is 61 now and receives her pension in the uk (approx 150 euro). She is selling her house and splitting with other half. Once she moves over she will have very little left after paying off all her debts.
Her real concern is a place to live. Is she entitled to any rent allowance if she decided to get a place on her own? Will the fact that she is 61 (pension age in uk is 60) and not 65 (pension age over here) have any bearing on her entitlements?
Is there any other benefits she is entitled too?
