rent allowance

hi everyone................
i am wondering about my rent allowance i previously had a house but it unfortunately got broken into my deposit was taking off me because of this and i was evicted i was up to date with my rent and bills. will i be able to get another rent deposit??? i also have a garda report saying i was broken into.........

I presume you got a rent deposit from the Community Welfare Officer at some stage? A rent deposit is generally only paid once. However you can make an application to the Community Welfare Officer in your area (or in the area you are thinking about moving to) and explain your situation.
 
thanks for your reply. and yes it was from the state.....well the welfare officer anyway

Just reading this and your other thread about Supplementary Welfare Allowance - you should give www.citizensinformation.ie a should and ask them about your entitlement to these and other welfare and related payments.
 
I would also suggest getting in contact with the PRTB, surely you cant be evicted because your house was broken into?
