Rent Allowance in Meath

Hi guys, maybe you could give me some info for a friend. Her sister is looking to rent a house in Trim in meath and was wondering what the rent allowance is. She went to the community welfare officer and he said she was entitled to €730, she is a deserted wife with two kids, (12 & 7 girl and boy). Does anyone know if this is correct. The houses she has seen are all above €1000-€1100. She could not afford this. Anyone any info

There may be other welfare payments and tax credits (if working) to which she is entitled due to her marital/family situation. She should probably contact her local for advice on her entitlements.

Thanks Clubman had a quick look there on welfare and have passed info on to her sister. She is not working, she is on disability. I have told her to geta list of houses from estate agents which rents on the mand to bring them down to the welfare officer and show him the rents, maybe she might have better luck. Thanks for the info though.
