Rent allowance help needed

high 2 and a half years ago i decided to rent a house,because i was working as a home help and my hours didnt go over 20 hours a week i was granted the rent allowance,and i also had my welfare payment for my child and i had medical card etc etc..when i first got the allowance i was told because i worked for a company that was HSE funded i was all clear,every september since i got a form off me local care officer and i filled it in with me details and 3 previous wage slips,for 2 years there wasnt a problem,then this september me landlord said the rent wasnt in his account,i made a call to the welfare officer and she said it could be due to the form not been returned,i said i never got the form but no worries send it again and il fill it in,she said there was no details on her computer as to why the rent was stopped,so now i get a call yesterday saying the think my rent was stopped because my wage slips dont have that i get paid off the HSE on them,and i have to get a letter from my employer stating they are HSE funded,on which they are???my welfare officer seems to be looking for excuses??i asked how come this was not asked in the 2 years i have been getting rent allowance,she said it was a mistake,and that she was new there so didnt know why??and that theres a good chance my allowance will be stopped???

Income earned as a home help from HSE funded organisations is not assessable for SWA (including Rent Supplement), income from anywhere else is.

The questions being asked could simply be as a result of a review of your claim by someone new who is making sure that all the paperwork is in order. If you have an entitlement, it will be continued, and anything owed to you will be paid back.
 
gipimann thanks very much for the reply,to be honest this officer is new,and just seems to be going in circles with me,she even suggest that if the company im with were part funded then that can be deducted from me,which hasnt been the case in 2 and a half years,as i said thanks very much for reply..i can rest a bit easy now
