Rent Allowance and photo ID

I have moved recently and I need to re-apply for Rent Allowance. I have been asked for a number of documents including photo ID. Now, I don't have and have never had a Passport or a Driver's Licence so all I've ever had is an ML10. I've actually lost my ML10 in the move but I can get another.

Can anyone please, please, please confirm for me that an ML10 will be enough to use as photo ID? I mean, it always has been before but this CWO seems like the type to search for any reason possible to deny me help. What I'm hoping for is some type of offical statement that I can print out and have with me when I return with my documents. Especially as she may notice that I only got the ML10 the day after she asked me for ID. Does anyone know if the CWO can refuse me based on my lack of Passport for Driver's Licence?

Any help would be really appreciated.

and go to the "how to apply" section, it lists the documents you need to apply for Rent Supplement, including Identity documents.

but the page you linked to states after passport, driving license etc which implies there are other documents.

The OP asked for "an official statement that can be printed out" which is why I posted that particular link. I'm aware that the list isn't exhaustive, it doesn't specifically include or exclude the ML10 form that OP asked about.

I still fear I will hand her my ML10 and she will turn her nose up at it and insist on a Driver's License/Passport. Now, a Driver's Licence is out of the question as I don't drive and I can't really afford €80 + €8.50 + €8 for a Passport. There's also the issue of waiting two weeks for the Passport to come through.

I'll have to wait and see...

What about a Garda Identity CArd?

That'd probably do alright fobs, but I don't have one of those either. The ML10 form is signed and stamped by the gardai. I'll find out tomorrow.

Just in case anyone finds themselves in a similiar situation - the ML10 was absolutely fine.
