I plan to be out of the country for about 10 weeks. If I rent out a room while away will this fall under the rent a room scheme and the income therefore be tax free.
 
If it's your principal private residence and it'll be let for 4 weeks or more to the same person, you should be fine.

If it's being AirBnB'd to multiple guests for less than 4 weeks, then no.
