Rent a room insurance

I'm currently renting a room in Bray. I'm looking to get some contents insurance and want to know where to look to get some. I mainly want it so I have some decent third party liability coverage (not for the car as I do not own one).

The sites that I have gone to seem say that only you and family can be living in the home. However as I'm renting a room from the owner this does not apply. Who would offer me some insurance?

The only exception seems to be Quinn but I need to check them out further with a phone call.

The personal liability incurance cover can be worthwhile and covering the tenents own contents as the landlord won't be able to cover them due to lack of insurable interest.

Well if he was riding a bicycle and hit someone would third party liability cover not come into play?
Or if he had a dog that bit someone?

Does'nt the householders insurance cover all contents?

You have to have an insurable interest.
In this case it would be hard to believe that the landlord would have any insurable interest in their lodgers contents.

I never thought of that.
