Rent a room in our house, does this affect my JA, mort allce, wife is working pt

Hi,

We may have a chance to rent out a room in our house to someone for a period of 6 months initially.

As the person in question goes to college near our town rent would be €330 per calendar month.

At this time things are a bit up in the air with my wife's p/t job but not withstanding this, what effect would this have on my payment (JA)?

At this time my wife's income is assessed as means of €22 per week.

I have been approved for a mortgage supplement of € 350pm so I don't mind losing this if I am not penalised for renting out the room (both figures are similar anyway)

How is it assessed by swo?
