renewing driver's Licence- how

Ok
I know this seems stupid but my licence ran out a weeka go and I've just realised. Ive been onto several websites and none are very clear. My questions are
1) Do I need to turn up in person and they take a pic or can it all be done by post?
2) If my address is Dublim do i have to go to a Dublin office?

Make an appointment, or you'll be queueing for ages.You have to do it in person.

And if you wear glasses you will need to remove them so you become unrecognizable (I've worn mine since I was 10 years old).
