Renewing business insurance-where should I check?

Just looking for some pointers on how to get the cheapest quote for my business. Where should I look-ringing up places manually or is there a website that can do cross searches for me?

Nothing beats picking up the phone, what is your trade/industry, sometimes some trades/industries are best served by some specialist brokers, e.g. electricians - Arachas Insurance
 
I run a small restaurant and am self employed. Where do i find a directory of my industry's specialists?
 
A small restaurant, being in the insurance industry I would recommend you contact 2 brokers, perhaps one large and one small (only a suggestion, pick what suits). Most brokers would have access to enough markets to get you a competitive quote, you just need to make sure they are doing the work for you, i.e. looking at all the market. Any other queries don't be afraid to shout.
